Аллергоиды. Для снижения аллергенности исходный экстракт аллергенов обрабатывают формалином [62]. Препараты аллергоидов обладают сниженной аллергенностью, сохраняя иммуногенные свойства. Результаты исследований эффективности СИТ аллергенами с использованием модифицированных аллергенов свидетельствуют об одинаковой эффективности аллергоидов и стандартных аллергенов при лечении больных с пыльцевой аллергией [63].

Полимеризованные аллергены. Полимеризация белков пыльцы амброзии и других растений с помощью глутаральдегида приводит к тому, что в пересчёте на единицу массы полимеризованные экстракты содержат меньше молекул аллергена, реагирующих с клетками-мишенями, чем мономерные Аг [65]. Результаты исследований с их использованием свидетельствуют об одинаковой эффективности и безопасности мономерных и полимерных аллергенов при меньшем числе инъекций и побочных реакций для последних [66—68].
