ЭКМО снижает смертность младенцев, страдающих от гипоксии, но сама эта методика создает проблемы, решение которых требует хирургического вмешательства. Анестезия прн этом может быть выполнена относительно безопасно при хорошем знании трудностей, создаваемых ЭКМО, и путей их преодоления. Будущий прогресс в лечении легочной гипертензии, можно надеяться, устранит необходимость в проведении ЭКМО, но в настоящее время этот метод остается в нашем распоряжении и все большее число пациентов нуждаются в его применении.
