Все пациенты с клоакальной экстрофией в течение всей жизни вплоть до полового созревания должны получать психологическую поддержку, особенно в процессе реконструктивных операций и в периоды госпитализации. Поскольку неврологические расстройства, если они есть, обычно довольно слабо выражены у этих пациентов, дети развиваются функционально полноценно и могут вести совершенно нормальную, если даже не сказать, просто счастливую жизнь.
